Tidy Cats with Glade Odor Solutions Review & Giveaway + Quick Housekeeping Tips

Three Cats

As you may know, I’m a proud Cat Mommy!  The Simply Sweet Home cats pretty much rule this place; I just live here.  We  recently received samples of Tidy Cats with Glade Odor Solutions.  We’ve always been Tidy Cats customers ever since I brought Rebel and Dixie home, and I was really excited to try this new variety.

I love the Tidy Cats products because they not only do a great job of controlling odors, but I also like the consistency of the granules. Upon pouring the product out, it doesn’t create a very large cloud of dust like other products.  It also clumps up really well, and  I have flushed it as my house, so that’s convenient.

Each of the Tidy Cats varieties has a slightly different smell, so when you first put out the new product with Glade Odor Solutions, your cats may notice that, but my cats just sniffed it like they would any fresh litter and were very happy to “try it out” as soon as I added it to the litter boxes.  So if you’re unsatisfied with the litter you’re currently using, I recommend trying Tidy Cats, especially the new Tidy Cats with Glad Odor Solutions.

And speaking of solutions, today we’ve also got some housekeeping tips brought to you by Tidy Cats and HGTV designer Jillian Harris:

1. Store grocery bags in an empty Kleenex box – wrap with pretty paper for extra credit!

2. Pretty tray or dish near door for keys – tidy and organized

3. Stuff pillow cases with their matching sheets to keep them contained and maximize space in your linen closet.

4. 15 minutes a day –  everyday give yourself 15 minutes (time yourself too!)  to run around and tidy as much as you can.  This will help you KEEP up with your household chores!

5. Sort your mail before it hits the counter and consider going paperless for most mail

6. Turn a beautiful wood crate or storage cube into a !  kitty litter box holder

One of my tips is keeping up with things. If you see something out of place, get it right away or you’ll become overwhelmed. Same goes with that litter box…lol

To keep up with the house I clean for 1 hour EVERYDAY. it helps with the upkeep

To clean a glass stovetop, make a paste of baking soda and water, and gently rub the paste on the stovetop with a sponge. It does a great job of cleaning and costs next to nothing!

  4. I save my used dryer sheets for dusting, and I re-use my big litter containers (like the tidy-cat one with the lift up lid), and empty baby wipe containers for pre-soaking aundry and/or washing my delicates.

Homemade cleaner. Take the empty bottle of your favorite cleaner. Don’t worry about emptying it out. Add 2/3 cup of your favorite fabric softner, 1/3 cup baking soda, 1/3 cup of vinegar, & fill remainder up with hot or warm water. Your counters & floors will sparkle, stains come up easily, & it smells fabulous!

i have a routine, certain days i vacuum, laundry, dust, bathrooms, mop, etc… Also avoid clutter and piles of mail, just that alone can make a place look tidy and clean.

  9. One I try to remember is to touch things as few times as possible. Put it away before putting it down.

  10. Amy Orvin says

One of my best housekeeping tips I do daily is to always scoop out the cat litter boxes. Everybody wants to use a clean potty including our cats. I also like to add a few sprinkles of Glade carpet deodorizer or baking soda on top of the cleaned-out box. It gives that room an extra scented boost!

  11. Laura Jacobson says

I Have baskets for everyone, and when I pick up something …I put it in their basket! Then if they are looking for something…they can check their basket!

  12. I hit the clutter and piles before the actual cleaning. All things go back to the rooms, trash can, recycling, or shredding bags first then I can focus on dust, windows, and floors.

  13. There’s certainly a great deal to learn about this subject.
I love all the points you made.

  14. Wow! In the end I got a weblog from where I be capable of genuinely obtain helpful data concerning my study and knowledge.
