Do you love home remedies and natural cures? If so then you will love today’s health and wellness book feature!  I recently got four books filled with recipes, tips, and inspiration for health and well being.  These are filled with tons of DIY inspiration, and they would also make great gifts if you have someone in your life who loves home cures and natural health and wellness products.

This book is a dream for anyone who’s ever been interested in seeking alternative cures. You will learn all about natural herbs and other ingredients (color photos for identification purposes included) and you’ll discover where you can find them.  From there, you’ll learn how to use these ingredients for medicinal purposes.

One tip I learned from the book is to the use of lavender oil for headaches. As a migraine sufferer, I’ve tried a lot different remedies, but I’ve never tried lavender, so I’m anxious to try it.

The books also features a variety of recipe, everything from massage oils and poultices, to teas and tonics. One recipe I found especially interesting is for Spruce Bath Salts, used for aches and pains.  There are also a recipe for Goji Berry Muffins, which is supposed to be good for eye problems, high blood pressure, and the immune system.

As if the title isn’t self explanatory, this book tells you everything you need to know about essential oils.  If is a very comprehensive resource, as it describes 109 different essential oils.  There’s even a fantastic chart which outlines various purposes you might want essential oils for (antibiotic, analgesic, deodorant, etc.) and tells you which essential oils have this property.  Just looking at the chart alone helped me to find out which oils I might want to do more research on.

The writer’s of the book also recommend 5 top essential oils for those of us who are on a budget and are just starting out working with essential oils.  These are: Lavender, Tea Tree, Roman chamomile, Lemon, and Geranium.

And the book has 450 uses and recipes, which teach you how to use essential oils for everything from toothaches, to headaches, menstrual cramps, and more!

Members of my own family have dealt with IBS and other intestinal issues, so I just HAD to check out this book.  It outlines various intestinal problems and it discusses common medical procedures and medications, as well as alternative therapies.

But moreover with this book, you’ll learn ways to control and prevent these problems through diet management.  There is a focus on maintaining a good pH balance, and you’ll find recipes and meal plans to help you manage this.  Recipes include everything from breakfast items to snacks and desserts, salads, and meals.
