Movie Night Fun

My husband and I don’t really go out very much and with the cold weather here, I would actually prefer to just stay in.  Warner Brothers, Orville Redenbacher’s, and M&M’s® to have  a fun movie night at home without breaking the bank.  Right now for a limited time, you can visit your local Walmart stores and find select Warner Brothers’ titles at new lower prices.  Popular DVD and Blu-ray titles are $5 and $7.88.  And while you’re selecting your movies, you can pick up some Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn and M&M’s®, to help you create a fun movie night experience.

The movie pallet looks something like this:

On the movie pallet, you’ll find so many great titles to choose from.  They have classic favorites like Ghost, Forrest Gump, and Braveheart, as well as popular favorites from the last few years like The Notebook and 300.  They even have a few Harry Potter titles, such as Order of the Phoenix.  I’m a HUGE Harry Potter fan, and I’d definitely recommend these movies to anyone who loves fantasies or has younger children that haven’t yet been introduced to the series.

And since it is the holiday season, and the movies are on discount temporarily, this would be a great time to load up on gift options for Christmas or add to your personal collection.

Movie Night

Personally I can’t go to the movies without getting popcorn.  Who can?  And a bowl of Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn and great candy like M&M’s® definitely enhances your at-home movie watching experience, as well.

With the holiday season upon us, I am in full baking and candy making mode.  I decided to make some bark candy.  I love this recipe because it is one of the easiest and least expensive candy recipes you can make, and it is so versatile!  The popcorn and M&M’s® turned this in to a super fun and festive Movie Night Bark!

Ingredients:

6 blocks almond bark

1/2 cup M&M's®

1/2 cup Orville Redenbacher's popcorn

Directions:

Line a cookie sheet with wax paper. Then melt almond bark on your stove top on low heat. Or melt in the microwave at 15-30 second intervals. (You may also use 1 to 1.5 cups of candy melts or your favorite chocolate chips.)

Transfer melted almond bark or chocolate to the wax paper. Spread using a spoon or spatula. Sprinkle with Orville Redenbacher's popcorn and M&M's.

Allow to cool and harden. Then break or cut off in to pieces and serve.
