Sponsor Me for A Harvest Halloween Blog Tour

I had a lot of fun participating in the Christmas in July Giveaway hop, and I was pleased with the exposure that my blog got, so I’ve decided to participate in more of these events!
I just signed up for A Harvest Halloween Blog Hop hosted by Savey Spender.  And now I need sponsors!
The event will take place October 25 through November 1.  Prizes must be Fall or Halloween themed, and I must have a $50 prize pack to participate.
If you’d like to sponsor me, you don’t have to donate a $50 prize.  You could do a $20 prize, or even a $10 prize.  (I just have to have a total of $50 in prize from all my sponsors.)  Also, you can feel free to donate a particular item from your shop or store credit.  Either is fine with me.
Now what do you get for sponsoring?
  • If you wish to sponsor me, you’ll be featured in the giveaway post (of course).  And then additionally I’ll do a “Sponsor Spotlight/Giveaway Preview” post about you.
  • Since this is a giveaway hop, there’s a a chance of getting a lot more exposure than with other giveaways.
  • And this also gives you the chance to get new followers and potential sales.
  • My Christmas in July Giveaway received 350 entries (plus 64 early entries), and through the giveaway promotions, my sponsors got lots of new followers and likes to their Facebook page.
If you’d like to sponsor me for this event, please send me an email.

Seeking Giveaway Sponsors for Christmas in July

I am participating in the Christmas in July Giveaway Hop hosted by Just Married with Coupons, and I’m seeking giveaway sponsors for the event.
To participate, I need $50 in giveaway prizes.  This could be one $50 prize from a single sponsor or a combination of prizes from more than one sponsor, totaling $50.
The Giveaway Hop will take place July 25-31. My sponsor will be featured in the giveaway post, and if I have more than one sponsor, I will write separate feature posts for each sponsor (in addition to the actual giveaway post).
And apart from my usual giveaway “link ups” the giveaway link will be promoted through the Christmas in July Giveaway Hop on 125+ participating blogs!
If you’d like to be a sponsor, just send an email to me at simplysweethome@hotmail.com, with Christmas in July OR Giveaway Hop in the subject.  Thanks!

Friday Favorites

Photobucket

I just wanted to remind everyone who may come by today that I’m not a hosting a Friday Favorites Party this week!  Instead I invite you to link up to my Christmas Recipe Party.  The party will be open through the 22nd, and when you link up you’ll qualify for some great prizes!  Old and new posts are welcome, so get to linking up!
As for Friday Favorites, it will return next week, and I’ll be featuring some of the posts that were linked up here last week at that time.  Since it will be Christmas Eve, I don’t expect to get too many visitors, but I don’t want to skip 2 weeks in a row, so it will be here for anyone who wants to come by.
Also, just as a heads up to everyone who was sweet enough to stop by today, I’ve got a really awesome Christmas giveaway coming next week!  It should be up on Monday or Tuesday if everything goes according to plan! And you’ll have a chance to win some great Baking Supplies for your kitchen worth over $100! Very exciting!
Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Site Problems Fixed

Hey guys.  If you came by here earlier today and things were looking a bit “shabby” I apologize.
I had exceeded by bandwidth at photobucket and needed to upgrade to pro.  Had I known how close I was to exceeding, I would have upgraded sooner.  But the good news is that if my bandwidth was exceeded, that only means that people are actually placing my buttons on their sites.  So I guess I should thank you! lol.
Anyway, if you visited your own sites earlier today and my buttons didn’t load properly, they should all be working now!  Thanks for understanding!

Announcements: Spring Gift Guide, Giveaway Winners, UBP, and Asking Advice

Hello Ladies & Gents! I have a few blog announcements (and some requests) to make today.
Spring Gift Guide – First off, I’ll be launching my Spring Gift Guide in May (exact date to be announced).  The gift guide will be reserved for mostly small retailers (etsy shops, mompreneurs, etc.)  This is one of the things that I do to say thank you to all of my blog sponsors.  Everyone who sponsors my blog gets a feature post written about their shop, and then the gift guide feature is just a little something extra I do to say thanks and to help promote these talented ladies.  So if you’d like to be a part of that, take a look at my PR page for all the details on ad prices and packages.  Also, if you’re interested in sponsoring a giveaway on Simply Sweet Home, I will include you in the gift guide as well.  So send me an email if you are interested in that.
Giveaway Winners:  I have 3 winners to announce:  The winner of the Survival Seed Giveaway is Kerrie.  The winner of the $100 Gift Certificate to Tea Collection is Jennifer of Frugal Front Porch.  And Rebecca of Buttons and Bows is the winner of the DIY Fashion Giveaway.  Join me in congratulating them! Also, I want to send out a big thank you to everyone who entered and anyone who helped promote these giveaways!
UBP 10′ – I also want to take this time to thank everyone who’s come over here from the Ultimate Blog Party and say thanks and welcome to all my new fans and followers.  It’s so great meeting everyone, and I hope to see more of you in the future.
Also, I have all the commenters from my UBP post saved in my inbox, so if you’ve visited me & commented, and I haven’t been around to your blog yet, I should get around to you in the next few days.  And just because the party’s over, doesn’t mean the blog hopping has to stop!  I, for one, had an incredibly busy weekend and didn’t have time to go to nearly as many blogs as I wanted to (although I did get a chance to visit some great ones! ::wink::).  And then I had a local event to go to which prevented me from going to the twitter party, so when I get an some “free time” I’m going to try and head over to some more blogs from the party!
Request for Blog Advice – Finally I have a small favor to ask. I’ve been thinking of swapping to my own unique domain this year, and I was discussing this with my husband the other day, and he thinks I should try to do that soon.  But I’ll be honest….I’m clueless about this stuff!  I have a few people in mind that I’m probably going to email about this, just to get some general questions answered: which service did you use? how hard was the transition? etc.  And I just figured while I’m posting some announcements here, I may as well throw the question out there to everyone.  So if you’ve gotten your own custom domain, I’d love for you to tell me about your experience (in the comments or by email).  Some issues/problems that I’ve heard of from other people that I want to try and avoid are: losing followers, losing pagerank, losing comments, etc.  So if you can help out, I will greatly appreciate it! And I’ll love you forever!

New: I Was Featured Button!

Photobucket

After seeing so many sites with “I Was Featured” buttons, I finally decided to put up one of my own. Feel free to grab one if you’ve ever been featured for Sweet Thursday, Holly Bloggy Christmas Bash, or one of my other posts.

And as always, I welcome you to grab the “regular” Simply Sweet home button, as well as my shop button and the Sweet Thursday button. To show my appreciation to you for helping me advertise my blog, everyone who has my button gets extra entries in all of my blog giveaways.

Also, if you’d like to do a button exchange, I’m willing to do a few of these at this time. Just send me an email or leave a comment.

Advertising & Sponsoring Information for Simply Sweet Home, Updated

Simply Sweet Home offically began selling advertising space after receiving offers from Castle Cover and other companies in January 2009. Since opening this site up for advertising, product reviews, and giveaways, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many fantastic companies.

At Simply Sweet Home I strive to constantly improve my content, expand my readership, and work to bring customers to my sponsors and ensure they are satisfied with the advertising I’ve provided.

As such, I’ve worked over the past several weeks to come up with new ways to make advertising more affordable and worth while for small businesses, namely for etsy shop owners, work-at-home moms, and other small online retailers, which make up my core readership. If you are a member of one of these groups, you are eligible for the special packages and pricings I’m offering for advertising (see rates below).

Advertising/Sponsoring: If you would like to advertise on Simply Sweet Home, you can email me at simplysweethome@hotmail.com, and I’ll send you more information. If you are from a PR company or large organization, I will be happy to negotiate a price with you for advertising. I’d also love to write a product review or host a giveaway for you (information below). If you are WAHM, etsy shop owner, or other small business owner, please see my new rates & packages for ad campaigns on Simply Sweet Home.

New Rates & Special Packages for Etsy Shops & Small Online Retailers: All new sponsors not only recieve ad space and a fabulous write-up but will also get a campaign of advertising through Twitter, Facebook, and additional feature posts on my blog.

Giveaways: Giveaway sponsors will be responsible for providing a giveway prize and shipment of the prize. If you’d like to sponsor a giveaway on my site, I’d love to work with you on that. It is great advertising for shop owners, and it’s fun for the readers too. I run most giveaways for about 2 weeks, and I list them on a number of sites, so you are sure to get a lot of exposure and advertising for your business! (Example of a previous giveaway)

Holly Bloggy Christmas Bash Sponsorships: In 2009, SSH and 4 other blogs hosted the Holly Bloggy Christmas Bash with great success. I plan on holding the event again this year and will be looking for sponsors in the fall of this year for that.

“I am so thrilled!! Thank you so much for posting such a Great write-up about my jewelry!! I love that you added so many links and everything you wrote was very nice!! New Shop & Blog Launch

Photobucket

While hubby’s been out of town as at a training conference, I’ve been a busy bee!

The new Simply Sweet Creations blog and shop have now been launched! Yay! The shop only has a few listings but you have to start somewhere. Right? And I promise there will be much more to come.

The new shop URLs are http://jhrivers.etsy.com/ or http://www.etsy.com/shop/jhrivers

You can also access the new jewelry blog here: http://simplysweetcreationsblog.blogspot.com/

New Newsletter:

If you’re interested, I’ve added a new newsletter to go along with the new blog. I’m not sure if I noted previously when I added the business blog or not, but in case I didn’t, I should note: Each of the three blogs has it’s own separate newsletter. So if you’re subscribed at Simply Sweet Home, you will only get Simply Sweet Home Updates. If you want be subscribed to 2 or all three of them, you will need to subscribe separately at each blog.

The Simply Sweet Creations newsletter will only come out once a month (unlike the SSH newsletter which comes out once a week). And it will include the latest post updates, new products, and sales. Also, if you subscribe to the newsletter, I’ll occasionally send out special coupon codes and subscriber-only sales. (If Hubby were here he’d say, “Oooh! How exclusive!”) And since Simply Sweet Home is my main blog, sometimes I’ll send out similar offers to the SSH subscribers as well.

New Button: Also, I was asked if there would be a new button for the shop. The answer is yes. You can find the new button code right beneath my Simply Sweet Home Button, or you can get it from the new SSC blog. Thanks to everyone who decides to display any of my buttons on your page. I really appreciate the promo!

Sneak Peak at Future Listings: I’m planning to add new listings gradually over the next few weeks. Here’s a sneak peak of some of the things I’ll be adding in the near future.
