This week we’ve been exploring easy meal time solutions. Whether it’s a busy Monday or a football Saturday, sometimes our schedules get in the way of making a homecooked meal, and for these days it’s good to have convenient, yet delicious options on hand. [Read more…]

A couple of weeks ago I shared a delicious recipe for Pulled Pork Nachos. Pulled pork is an absolute Southern staple and one of my favorite foods! I love ordering it from local barbecue places, and I also love making it at home!
The only problem with making it at home is that it takes several hours to cook, which means I always have to plan ahead and be prepared to spend a day or an evening watching over the meat as it cooks. It’s definitely well worth the time and effort, but I don’t always have time to do this! And when I’ve been busy working all day and it’s time to pick up Noah from school, I definitely don’t have the time to cook a whole pork roast in time for dinner….until now! Enter Farm Rich® Smokehouse Pulled Pork BBQ!
This pulled pork is just as delicious as anything you can make at home or get from a bbq stand, and it cooks up in the microwave in minutes! Today I’m going to show you how I paired this delicious pulled pork with some Birds Eye Steamfresh® Flavor Full Sour Cream and Onion Potatoes to make a delicious and easy weeknight meal!

It’s Monday again! Do you ever struggle to come with delicious and easy weeknight meals that are easy and quick to make but still taste delicious? Then read on!
Today I’ve got a delicious Chicken & Shrimp Stir Fry recipe that goes great with Uncle Ben’s® Rice and cooks up in about 30 minutes. It is a fantastic restaurant quality recipe, featuring lean protein and vegetables, and it packs a flavor punch! In short, it’s something the whole family can enjoy and Mom will approve! [Read more…]
Monday is usually the busiest day of the week for me. It’s usually when I have the most work to do for my business, and then we have a lot of things happening at school as well. All of this usually means that I have to come up with a SUPER easy and quick meal to cook. One option I often turn to is Manwich and Manwich Monday Recipes.
Manwich sauce comes in three great varieties: Original, Bold, and Thick & Chunky.
As a kid, we ate Manwich Sandwiches all the time with Original Manwich sauce, but nowadays I use the all the varieties. (My favorite is the Bold!)
Manwich Sandwiches are truly a great meal for the family. Apart from being delicious, the Kid-Stopping Power of Manwich makes meals a messy-licious treat to be enjoyed with both hands. And Manwich offers moms and dads an easy, quality ingredient to bring the family’s attention back to mealtime and away from everyday distractions (like video games and text messaging).
And I now use the sauce for so much more than sandwiches. A couple of my favorite meals are Sloppy Joe Pies to Meat Loaf!
A few days ago, I used Manwich to make Sloppy Joe Walking Tacos. Have you heard of Walking Tacos? They are one of the latest food crazes!
Basically you take a bunch of different ingredients and just mix them together in a cup. It offers you a tasting meal that you can eat on the go without the mess!
For the Sloppy Joe Walking Taco, I mixed Manwich sauce with cooked ground beef, just as I normally would for sandwiches. And then I spoon the meat mixture in to a large mug, layering it with Frito Chips and cheese. (You could also use other ingredients of your choosing, such as lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and other veggies or condiments.)
Not only is it a delicious meal to serve, but it’s also less messy! You could say this recipe and method of serving takes the sloppy out of sloppy joes!
This fun and less-mess, individual serving method also makes this a great food to serve at football parties and other events. Guests will be able to grab their walking taco and eat while standing up or while mingling with other guests!

The number one question I hear people ask on Saturdays in the fall is, “What time is the game?” Almost everyone I know has a team they root for, a team they root against, and few teams they watch just for the fun of it! Each week we have OUR teams that we watch as well, and good food is a key ingredient to making our football Saturday great!
This week we’ve been lucky to get a lot of rain and slightly more mild temperatures. But it’s still hot! I’m ready for fall! Today I was shopping at Target, and I found some new limited edition products from Glade. The scent is called Apple Tree Picnic. I’ve purchased apple scented products before, but this scent is the best ever. Our house smells like an orchard! ANYWAY….I always associate apples with fall, and even though we’re not quite in to the season yet, I’ve got apple on the brain! So today I’m featuring some ideas featuring one of my favorite fruits: the apple! Hope you enjoy!

School is almost back is session! Already? Yes! As I sit at my computer, our son is actually standing out in the heat at marching band camp, and he’ll be starting school in just 2 weeks! For me, that means it is time to stock up on plenty of back to school groceries and come up with some easy meal ideas. The other day I talked about a few of my go-to breakfast options, and today we’re talking dinners! Since Noah has brand practice right after school, this means I need meal ideas I can whip up rather quickly after he gets home from band practice. [Read more…]
You must know by now that I love all things spicy, and especially all things buffalo! The other day I made these delicious Buffalo Pepper Jack Nachos. They were awesome, of course, so much so that I’ve already made a second version of the buffalo nachos (to be posted later….stay tuned!) [Read more…]

“I’m hungry!” This phrase is uttered so many times a day in my house by everyone, including me! I thought that I’d have more time for cooking with school out, but boy, was I wrong! The last few weeks I’ve been dealing with a pretty big work load, and on top of this, we’ve been doing improvements around the house: painting, de-cluttering and organizing, rearranging furniture. Ah!
By the time I get done with everything else I have to do, the last thing I want to do is cook. And yet, “I’m hungry!” continues to echo through the hall (and in my own mind and stomach).
Ordering out is an option, but we can’t do that every day, so having easy and convenient food options is a MUST. For that, I often go to the freezer! [Read more…]
