Friday Favorites – Week 324 – With Patriotic Decor

Happy Friday Everyone! This week we are celebrating the stars and stripes with some great patriotic decorations!  I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love anything red, white, and blue, especially when you throw in a mix of old-timey, shabby chic elements.  I’d be happy decorating my home with this stuff all year round!  If you feel the same way, then I know you will love this week’s features!  Check them out, and as always I invite you to share your own decor, recipes, and other projects via this week’s linky!

Friday Favorites – Week 315 – With DIY Projects

Hello everyone! Welcome to this week’s Friday Favorites party!  I’m a little late this evening and normally when I’m late, it’s because I’ve had a busy work week or had a lot going on at home, but tonight, it comes down to one simple reason…I HAD to watch the finale of American Idol! Haha!  It’s one of the only shows I watch on a regular basis, and I’ve been a fan since the beginning.  I’m sad to see it go, but it was an amazing show tonight.  Getting excited about seeing my favorite contestants from the past made me feel like a teenager!  Haha!  Anyway…that’s what I’ve been up to this evening!  Now let’s see what everyone else is up to!

First off, we have some great DIY projects: We have jewelry storage, an upcycle project, and a little bit of carpentry work!  What a great mix!

And then as always, we have a little linky which I would LOVE for you to add your recipe and project links to!

DIY Cat Scratcher Tutorial and Cats Pride

Today we have another fun post starring the Simply Sweet Home Cats! Yay!  Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE my baby cats and would do anything for them.  And I have to say, I think I’m very lucky to have a couple of really good-natured and well behaved cats!  But like all relationships, a relationship between a cat mommy and her cats can get quite interesting!  For example, my sweet Sugar cat likes to cuddle, but only on her terms, and she will give you a very small love bite when she’s ready to stop.  Meanwhile, Rebels love to lounge around, and he often chooses to make clothing, backpacks, purses, and anything that’s new his bed (and every now & then he likes to scratch on things)! Teacher Easter Basket Tutorial

March is here, and Easter is just around the corner! (It’s March 27 this year!)  It’s time to gather up your favorite Easter goodies and create some fun Easter Baskets!  Of course, the Easter Bunny has the kids covered, but what about the adults?  Are there any special adults in your life that would get a little joy out of an Easter basket this year?  Perhaps a neighbor, a grandmother, or a teacher?

As someone who always “loved school” and “loved learning” I’ve always had a huge appreciation for teachers.  In fact, when I was kid I either wanted to be a writer or a teacher, and if I wasn’t working from home, I’d likely be teaching English or history.  That being said, I generally love the profession, and I appreciate everything that the teachers in our local schools do.

Generally the kids give gifts to the teachers at Christmas and at the end of the school year, but I personally love giving gift baskets, and what better time to give one than at Easter?  If you happen to be the head room mother, this is something great that you can give as a class gift to your teacher!  If you have an adult child or other relative who’s a teacher, it could be a great project to put together for them as well.  Today I’m going to show you how I put together a fun Teacher Easter Basket using MARS & Wrigley’s products and other items.  Plus, I’ve got some free printable tags that you can add to your baskets! Coca-Cola Holiday

With Christmas and holiday parties right around the corner, it’s time to stock up on drinks!  This year Coca-Cola has added even more fun to the festivities with their special holiday inspired Share a Coke bottles!  These 8.5 inch aluminum bottles are the perfect size for parties.  They also have little Coca-Cola Christmas balls on them, and they feature cute message like, “Share a Coke with Santa.”  How fun!  With cute bottles like this, who needs fancy glassware?

Coca-Cola is also helping us celebrate the season with a #SipsofJoy Twitter Party on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 1:00 pm EST. RSVP here.

I got my Coca-Cola products through a special Cartwheel offer at Target.  Just visit this Share a Coke page and enter the Twitter id of a friend or family member. When you do, they will get a 20% off Coca-Cola Cartwheel offer, and YOU will get a 20% off Cartwheel offer! [Read more…]

Friday Favorites – Week 292 – With Fun Halloween Treat Bag Ideas

Happy Halloween Eve!  And welcome to this week’s Friday Favorites party!  Last night I was busy making Halloween treat bags for our son to carry to school for all the saxophone and tuba players in marching band.  (I LOVE making treat bags!)

Incidentally as I looked though last week’s link up, I found some cute and unique treat bag ideas for Halloween.  It may be a little late to use them this year…but if you have kids and you’ll be making treat bags next year, it’s never too early to bookmark some ideas!  Take a look!

Friday Favorites – Week 290 – With Halloween Decor

Happy Friday to you!  Even though I’ve put my party post over every week, I feel terrible that I’ve missed out on doing features these last two or three weeks! And I especially regret that all this business happened during what is perhaps my favorite time of year for blogging….I LOVE featuring fall and Halloween ideas!

But on the flipside, one of the thing’s that has kept from me from doing features is all the great blog work I’ve been doing.  Lately I really feel like I’ve cranked out some fun and creative posts!  If you have time, I’d love for you to take a look at all the recipes and projects we’ve been busy with!

Now without further ado, let’s get to this week’s party featuring some oh-so-creative Halloween decor!
