When I was growing up, we almost always had Count Chocula at our house. Now the Count and his friends Franken Berry and Boo-Berry are back in retro, throwback packaging. Today we continue with the topic of back to school savings and back to school food with Cheerios and Publix. Publix is making breakfast more affordable with their printable coupons, and right now they have a a featured coupon on Cheerios and Florida Orange Juice.
Cheerios are available in a range of flavors the whole family loves, from the original Cheerios in the yellow box, to Honey Nut Cheerios, to fun flavors like Dulce de Leche and Fruity, and new Cheerios Protein, available in two irresistible flavors: Cinnamon Almond and Oats & Honey. All Cheerios are made with whole grain first ingredient, and do not have high fructose corn syrup.

Have you noticed a “new” look to your favorite cereals lately? Each year General Mills rolls out retro boxes of popular Big G Cereals. This year the cereals with that are getting the retro makeover are:
I just love the Retro boxes. There’s just something about them. They look very fun and they just remind me of simple times and childhood. My favorite Big G cereal is Lucky Charms, so I was happy to see it getting the retro look this year.
I was most surprised to see Reese’s Peanut Butter Puffs on the list. I LOVE this cereal. I actually remember when it first came out. I was 11 years old in 1994, and of course, as soon as I saw the cereal, I had to try it. I can’t believe it’s been around for 20 years! It almost makes me feel old….almost. It’s been a while since I’ve had Reese’s Peanut Butter Puffs, so I was happy to be reintroduced to the cereal again. It was like having breakfast with an old friend.
You can find all these Big G Retro Boxes at your local Target. Check the cereal line, or look around the check out line for all 5 varieties.
