Easy Mod Podge Canister

As I went to work on my post for the Ultimate Blog Party that’s happening later this week, I added a collage photo which included a picture of this canister, BUT when I went to find a link to the post where I shared the canister, I didn’t find it. WHAT? That’s weird! I have the pictures of the canister filed under “Projects Already Posted.”  Could I have possibly made a mistake and mis-filed it, thinking I’d posted it, when I hadn’t?  I must be getting old! Haha!

So anyway here is a sort of  impromptu tutorial for this mod podge canister!

Easy Mod Podge Canister Tutorial

What You Need:

Scrapbook paper

Mod podge

Paint Brush

Scissors

Container (In this case, I used a chocolate shake mix container, but oatmeal containers and fiber containers are also good, or any old canister.)

Directions:  Wrap paper around container, to check for fit. Cut as needed.  Apply mod podge to back of paper with paint brush. Wrap paper around container. Let dry for a few minutes. Apply another coat of mod podge to the outside give it a seal and finish. Done!

  2. What a great storage idea! I love reusing stuff I have for storing things in and the bright paper makes this so cheery!

  3. Visiting from Tater Tots and Jello…I love Mod Podge!!! I wonder where it’s been all my life and what I could have made if I had known about it years ago. At least we’ve found each other know so I’ve got some catching up to do. Love the project! Hope to see you around my neck of the woods someday. LOVD tidings, Lilly

  4. Sometimes the simplest projects are the coolest. I’ve had a giant Quaker Oats can lounging around my kitchen for a couple weeks. It doesn’t fit in recycling so I just keep setting it aside thinking I’ll recycle it later. UPCYCLING it would be so much better! Its tall enough I can see storing tall pastas, rulers and straight edges, combs or anything else! (not all together though. =D ) I love your blog I’m a new follower! I would love if you were able to stop at my first session of Sweet Sharing Mondays (new weekly party- with features!) and link up! http://saynotsweetanne.com/2012/sweet-sharing-monday/#comment-312
