Novel Creations: A New Chapter In Purses

I am very excited to welcome a new sponsor to Simply Sweet Home! Novel Creations is a new chapter in purses!  Karen of Argyle, Texas has taken some of the best loved books out their (classics and current favorites) and repurposed them in to cute and fashionable purses and clutches.

I ran across her shop a few weeks ago, and I immediately fell in love!  As an English I love seeing jewelry and accessory that are somehow centered around the classics, so to find purses made out of the actual books was just thrilling.

Karen let me choose a purse from her shop.  After a LOT of thought, I finally decided to go with the To Kill A Mockingbird  purse with a messenger bag strap.  I chose this one because not only do I love the book and film, but I also thought it was a a very cute bag.  The cover art is adorable, and the colors great for all season.  And when I received it, I was really pleased with the size and the the great quality and craftsmanship of the bag.

After seeing this bag, I will definitely buy another in the future.  And there are so many that I’d love to have!  For instance, my first thought was to get The Great Gatsby.  I was actually searching for The Great Gatsby when I found this shop, and I thought the bag would be very trendy!

I also considered getting Jane Eyre, because it is one of my favorite classic books, and I love that it actually had a quote on the back.  (And by the way, she also has other 19th century favorites that are very tempting! A lot of Jane Austen books, which look really great, and one of my favorite books Frakenstein!)

And as an English major I, of course, love Shakespeare.  While Romeo & Juliet isn’t my favorite Shakespeare play, it WAS the first one I read, and apart from that, I loved the look of the art on this purse: So whimsical and romantic!

And there is a also a collection of newer works like The Hunger Games and one of my favorite things in the whole world Harry Potter!
