Guest Post: Cinna-Orange Muffins from Danielle at Busy Mom’s Helper

Hey there, ya’all! I’m Danielle from Busy Mom’s Helper, and I can’t tell you how totally stoked I am to be guest posting here today! Can you believe how fast this summer is going by already? Or is that just me….feels like we’re running out of time to do everything I want to do with the kids before we’re back to school schedules. Those early mornings….ugh! Anywho, better enjoy the time we have left, right? Right!
Since we’re allowed a bit more time in the mornings during the summer, I actually MAKE breakfast more often, instead of just cereal of frozen waffles. One we just tried and LOVED were these Cinna-Orange Muffins. What’s more summery than Orange? Not much!
Cinna-Orange Muffins

Ingredients
3 cups Flour
3 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
2/3 & 1/2 cup Butter, soft but not melted
2 cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tbsp. Orange Zest
1 cup Milk
2 tsp. Cinnamon
Cinnamon & Sugar for sprinkling

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 Degrees. Spray two 12-cup muffin tins, or line with baking cups.

Combine the Flour, Baking Powder, Salt and Nutmeg in a bowl.

In a different bowl, mix 2/3 cup Butter, 1 cup Sugar, Eggs, Vanilla and Orange Zest.

Add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture, stir in the milk, then pour into the muffin tins JUST FILLING A TINY BIT. Sprinkle a tiny bit of cinnamon-sugar into the cups, then continue filling the cups until 2/3 the way full.

In a small bowl, mix the remaining Butter, Sugar and Cinnamon until crumbly. Sprinkle over the muffins.

Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool and enjoy!
