Frozen Peppermint Pie

Frozen Peppermint Pies

I was very excited when the PEEPS® company contacted me about being a part of their 24 Days of PEEPsonality!  Starting December 1, they will be featuring recipes from 24 bloggers on their Facebook page.

I received samples of PEEPS® holiday products, including Marshmallow Trees and Peppermint flavored Marshmallow Stars.  The peppermint flavor inspired me to create a Frozen Peppermint Pie (decorated with the PEEPS® Peppermint flavored Marshmallow Stars, of course).

This recipe is very easy to make and very fun to decorate! It will definitely be a big hit this holiday season with peppermint lovers everybody!

Frozen Peppermint Pie

Yield: 8 Servings

Frozen Peppermint Pie

20 crushed chocolate sandwich cookies

1/4 cup butter, melted

1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened

1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon peppermint extract

1/2 cup finely crushed peppermint candies (about 20 mints)

2 cups whipped topping

chocolate syrup

2 tablespoon candy sprinkles

PEEPS® Peppermint Stars

Mint Candies (crushed)

1. Spray a 9-inch round pie pan with cooking spray.

2. Crush cookies using food processor or blender. Combine cookie crumbs and melted butter in medium bowl, and mix well.

3. Press cookie crumbs firmly to the bottom and sides of the pan. Place crust into the freezer while filling is made.

4. In a large bowl beat cream cheese until fluffy.

5. Gradually add sweetened condensed milk until smooth.

6. Crush peppermints in food processor or blender. Stir peppermint extract and peppermint candies in to the cream cheese and condensed milk mixture. Mix well.

7. Fold in whipped topping. Stir in one tablespoon of candy sprinkles. Mix well. Pour filling over crust.

8. Top pie with additional tablespoon of candy sprinkles, chocolate syrup, and add PEEPS® Peppermint Marshmallow Stars.
