Saving-with-Walgreens-Paperless-Coupons

Coupons are a great way to save money on groceries and essentials for the family, but a lot of people don’t like going through all the trouble involved:  find the coupon, clip the coupon, actually remember to bring the coupon(s) to the store, and then actually remember to get everything you’ve got a coupon for. Phew!  But now  Walgreens is making the couponing experience much easier and stress-free with their new Paperless Coupons.

Today I’m going to show you how you can find and use Walgreens Paperless Coupons, and I’ll show you some of the things I saved money on by using these coupons.  And finally I will show you what I did (or would like to do) with money we save by using these coupons.

Walgreens Paperless Coupons

To get your paperless coupons from Walgreens, just download their app on your phone.  Upon first opening the app, you will see a place to log in if you already have a Balance Rewards membership.  If you do not, you can sign up at the this time.  From there you are free to browse their coupons selections and clip anything you want to buy on your next shopping list.

As you clip your coupons, the top of your screen will show you how many coupons you’ve clipped and your estimated savings, as well as alert you to any expiring coupons.

Now all you have to do is visit your local Walgreens.  When you check out, they will scan the bar code from your app so that you may redeem your coupon and receive any Balance Rewards you are eligible for.  (As you  can see on the above screenshot we saved almost $20 this time around!)

All together it makes for an easy and more affordable shopping experience.

Health and Beauty from Walgreens

When it comes to finding sales and coupons, I focus a lot on health and beauty aides as well as cleaning products.  These are items that I don’t generally need to buy every week and don’t run out of frequently, but they can add a LOT of money to our family budget.  And if you run low on several of  these kind of items at one time, it can easily add $50 or even $100 to you grocery budget that week.

For that reason, I try to check for the best deals on medicine, cosmetics, and other health & beauty aides, as well as cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and paper goods.  The photos above and below show just a few things I was able to find good deals on.

Cleaning Products from Walgreens

By using a number of shopping strategies, including the Walgreen’s Paperless Coupons, it adds up to a LOT of savings for our family in the long run.  And we can definitely use that!  (But who can’t, right?)  And with school back in session, it is especially helpful to have a few extra dollars on hand for all the usual expenses and anything else that may com up.

Chalkboard Shopping List

I created the above list of what we’re currently spending money.  Do you have a similar list going on at your house?

School Supplies

With all the back to school deals, it’s hard not to stock on school supplies, even if you aren’t in school!  Noah now has plenty of pens, notebooks, and folders to start the year, as well as a couple of drawers of supplies on reserve for projects and later use.  (and $100+ graphing calculator to boot….just had to throw that in there!)

School Clothes

We also just placed an order for his school clothes and shoes, because he’s a growing boy and we gotta keep him looking good!

Band Trip

And finally there is band.  We just paid all Noah’s fees for school and band.  And now we have his band trip to look forward to.  Noah and his friends will be marching the Dunkin Donuts Thanksgiving Parade in Philadelphia this year, and they will be doing some site seeing in NYC.  The parade itself is a great opportunity, and the rest of the trip itinerary sounds amazingly fun. (Wish I was going!)

Luckily he does have fund raisers which we are happy to help him with, but I’m sure that saving a little money in other areas will certainly help us toward paying for this trip.

Camera

And….finally you may have noticed the item I listed last and slightly smaller on my board, and that is a new camera for Mama….I mean…ME!  Right now I use a point and shoot camera or a camera phone for all my post and shop photos.  BUT….my dream purchase right now is a DSLR camera.  So again, hopefully by using Walgreens paperless coupons, I can place a little bit of that would-be grocery and family supply money into the “Jerri’s Camera Money Jar.”

First of all I hope you and I both get the cameras that on our wishlists. I’m late to get on the Walgreens bandwagon, but I’ve come to love the bargains that can be found there. Actually, I prefer paper coupons because I will never remember what coupons I have otherwise.
