All Mighty Pacs Detergent Plus 5 Laundry Tips

5 Laundry Tips

I’ve been spending the first week of my new year getting my house in order and cleaning from top to bottom. I’m very happy with the progress I’ve made, and one of my goals this year to get back to the basics of maintaining a clean home, so I can avoid these “extreme clean-a-thons.”  It’s not always easy with a family, pets, and my schedule, but I’m up for the challenge. One chore that I never seem to get woefully behind on is laundry; perhaps because it’s pretty much unavoidable and can’t be skipped.  Here are just a few things that help me get this hugely important chore done!

all mighty pacs

1.  Choose great products like All Might Pacs!   Product selection is key, as you need a product that works (gets stains out and leaves clothes smelling great).  If you’re not using good products, you’ll likely have to rewash some of your items, and that is a waste of time and money!  All Mighty Pacs Laundry Detergent are one product I’ve used.  I like the pacs because they are very convenient: You don’t have to do any measuring and you don’t have to worry about spills!

When using the pacs, you place one in a regular load of laundry, or use two for large, heavily soiled loads.  I personally like this because the pre-measured pacs make it so that you don’t have to worry about waste, but at the same time you can always use the 2 pacs if needed.

This product is also a great thing to have on hand if you have “laundry helpers.”  Around here I do all the laundry, because I’m just a wee bit particular about it, but I know a lot of people have their husband or children help, so if that includes you, I’d definitely recommend using the All Mighty Pacs.  They really take out all the guess work, not to mention, they serve as a great shortcut for your and your helpers!  Not to mention, your clothes will come out SO CLEAN!

2. Pre-sort Your Laundry Easily with Assigned Hampers.  I save a lot of time on laundry work because most of our items are already pre-sorted.  I have one hamper in the laundry room that is just for towels and rags and then I have separate hampers for each person, and a small bin that is just for whites.  This is just a no-brainer for me; when you get ready to do laundry, all you have to do is dump the basket in to the washing machine.  There’s no sorting before the wash AND you don’t have to sort everything back out after you wash!

3. Keep all nice shirts and clothing separate from other laundry.  Apart from giving everyone their own hamper, I try to leave polos, sweaters, and any “nice clothing”  out of the hampers entirely.  I have a place in my laundry room where I can lay these out flat or folded.  This way they are not wadded up in the bottom of a hamper getting completely wrinkled.  It really cuts down on my ironing.

4. Choose the right cycles and water temperatures.  For my own clothes I usually use cold water and the delicate and permanent press cycles.  This keeps everything looking new and fuzz ball free!  I do the same thing for the guy’s dress shirts and pants.  For the guys’ other clothes, I tend to use my best judgement on a per load basis, either regular or heavy duty.  I also use the heavy duty cycle for all towels and sheets and the regular cycle for blankets and comforters.

5. Don’t let it pile up.  I don’t have a dedicated schedule for when I do laundry, but I do try to break it down so that it doesn’t get piled up.  Sheets gets washed every two weeks.  Towels are washed weekly.  The guys’ clothes get washed each week.  Whites only get washed once a month, because we have very few of them.  Meanwhile my clothes are washed on an “as needed basis” simply because I work from home and don’t wear as many clothes as everyone else, and I also have more clothes than everyone else, so I don’t need them washed as often.
