Friday Favorites – Week 254 – Featuring Valentine Crafts + Still Taking Apps for Linky Co-hosts and Contributors

friday favorites

Hey everyone!  Welcome to another fun week of Friday Favorites!  Unbelievably Valentine’s Day is just over a week away, so today I’m featuring a few craft ideas for the occasion.  Hope you like them!

Also, I’m still taking applications for linky party co-hosts and blog contributors.  If you’ve already applied, thank you! I’ll be in touch shortly!  If not, please do apply.  You can Apply Here.  And just in case you are unsure about applying, let me just give you a quick run down on the requirements.  First off, you don’t have to have a certain number of followers or subscribers to apply, and even if your blog has only been around for a short time, that’s okay too!

A few people asked about the work required to be a party co-host.  So here’s a quick rundown: As linky party co-host, you would be required to host a shared linky party on your site.  Apart from including the linky code I send you each week, you would need to include the party banner and co-host information supplied to you.  And then each week you would just go through the posts, just like I do, and pick a few to feature on your site (photos and links included) and also pin your selections to my Friday Favorites pinterest board.  Finally you would just need to promote your party post on your social media sites.  And that’s it!  It doesn’t really require a lot of your time each week; however, I am looking for people who will be committed to posting. Friday Favorites – Week 181 – Featuring Crafts

friday favorites

Happy Friday! And thank you for coming by this week for my Friday Favorites party! While you’re here this week, I’d like to take second to promote a couple of my latest endeavors.  First off, early this week I posted a great product feature: Easy Breathing with Arm & Hammer.  This is the first of a few posts that I will be doing for Arm & Hammer over the next few months, and I’d really appreciate some comments if you have a moment or too! (Thanks ahead of time!)

Also, over the last couple of weeks I’ve been adding new college football jewelry to my Etsy shop, so if you’re a fan please check them out. I have several teams available, and I’m happy to do a custom order for you if I don’t currently have your team in stock, and I can do NFL teams for you as well.  I also have 3 different chain options for these, and they look great on girls or guys.  And all necklaces can be made into key chains too, if that’s something you’re interested in. (Again, thanks in advance for looking!)

Now it’s time to get crafty! Check out this week’s features!

Valentine Dryer Sheet Wreath

Dryer Sheet Wreath

Although I make jewelry, I’ve never otherwise considered myself to be a very crafty person.  I believe I can cook…people love my cooking!  And I also love to write poetry and write here on this blog.  But my attempts at art are generally bad!  For this reason, I try to keep projects simple!  One thing that I’ve found just about anyone can do is make wreaths!  Today I’ve got a very simple Valentine’s Day Wreath that I made out of used dryer sheets!

Yes, you read that right—dryer sheets!  So basically today we have simple, crafty, economical project, and a form of recycling all rolled in to one post! [Read more…]

Fall Sunflower Wreath

I normally think of sunflowers as a summer flower.  I remember walking through my aunt and uncle’s garden when I was a kid.  They had beautiful rows of sunflowers and was just amazed by their size and look.  Today I’m taking this summer flower and mixing it with some other fall elements to create beautiful fall sunflower wreath.  And to add even more warmth to these bright fall colors, this wreath is lighted with LED lights from Christmas Lights Etc.
