Coca-Cola Holiday

With Christmas and holiday parties right around the corner, it’s time to stock up on drinks!  This year Coca-Cola has added even more fun to the festivities with their special holiday inspired Share a Coke bottles!  These 8.5 inch aluminum bottles are the perfect size for parties.  They also have little Coca-Cola Christmas balls on them, and they feature cute message like, “Share a Coke with Santa.”  How fun!  With cute bottles like this, who needs fancy glassware?

Coca-Cola is also helping us celebrate the season with a #SipsofJoy Twitter Party on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 1:00 pm EST. RSVP here.

I got my Coca-Cola products through a special Cartwheel offer at Target.  Just visit this Share a Coke page and enter the Twitter id of a friend or family member. When you do, they will get a 20% off Coca-Cola Cartwheel offer, and YOU will get a 20% off Cartwheel offer! [Read more…]

Easy Home Makeover Projects: Stenciling Your Kitchen

Stenciling is among the cost-effective and a creative home improvement technique. It can work with any décor from contemporary to traditional. It can also be used on a variety of surfaces including the walls. Stencils are particularly ideal for a kitchen where you may not have adequate space to hang artwork, photos, and other decorative elements. Here are some stencilling tips that can help give your kitchen a dramatic look.

DIY Oil Change with Pennzoil

DIY Oil Change with Pennzoil

Are you a DIYer? Do you hate to call a repair man?  Around our house,  my husband is Mr. Fix It, and he’s very good at everything he does.  If anything needs to be built or fixed, I almost always rely on him to do it!

Last week we tackled a DIY oil change.  As you probably know, regular oil changes are a very important part of vehicle maintenance.  Getting your oil changed ever 3 months or every 3000 miles helps to ensure optimal vehicle performance, extended engine life, and better gas mileage.

But what are the benefits of a DIY oil change versus an oil change you’d get from an auto mechanic?  For one thing, by doing it yourself, you can see exactly how much oil is going in your car.  This will allow you to use just as much oil as you need and prevent you from overpaying for oil that is not used. Bathroom Organization with Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong®

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #CraftedExperience #CollectiveBias

When the fall season rolls around, I love to do fall cleaning.  Just as with spring, for me this is one of the best times to  declutter and organize….out with the old, in with the new!  Recently I cleaned my bathroom from top to bottom!

Today I’m going to share some important steps and tips to decluttering and organizing your bathroom cabinets.

Bathroom Organization with Quilted Norther Ultra Soft and Strong

As you’ll see below, one thing I’ve recently done in our bathroom is to take out some old plastic drawers.  I couldn’t believe the difference in before and after.  It looks so neat and clean!  Now when you walk in, all you see is a basket of Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong® Bath Tissue.

When I was growing up Quilted Northern was all my mom ever used, so of course I love to use it as well!  And my mom and I aren’t the only ones.  Quilted Northern is a trusted brand that has been around for over a hundred years!  And now Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong® with Cleanstretch® toilet paper is designed not only for softness and comfort but also for strength and flexibility.  (This means no more ripping and separation.)  And it’s also septic and sewer safe.

And apart from your personal use, this bath tissue is also great for when you need to do quick bathroom wipe down and cleanup before company comes over. [Read more…]

Hi everyone.  Welcome to this week’s Friday Favorites party!  Can you believe we are at the end of July?  I feel like I say things like that all the time, but it truly blows my mind sometimes!  Here among all of my summer and back to school content I’ve got running, I’m also in the process of sharing a few home makeover and DIY projects my husband and I have been working on this summer, so for today’s party I decided to share a few makeover projects our fellow blog friends have been working on.  Take a look!  And then I’d LOVE for you to share your projects with us in the linky below!

Easy Home Makeover Projects: Part 2 – Revamping Your Front Steps

House Makeover

Hey everyone.  This is Gary.  The other day Jerri shared our little masterpiece we’ve been working on.  Haha!  Well, she loves it anyway, and I think it looks pretty good.  Today I’m going to talk about a very important piece of the puzzle: the front porch steps.

The old step was very…old.  It looked bad.  It wobbled.  It was unsafe.  It was old. [Read more…]

Easy Home Makeover Projects: Part 1 – Painting The House

In the past several weeks I’ve alluded to all the home improvement projects we’ve been working on. Now my husband I are getting ready to share some of those. I say my husband and I because in the future we’ll be having some contributing posts from Mr. Simply Sweet Home on his fields of expertise, and believe me, when it comes to tools and fixing things, it’s definitely his field of expertise and not mine.  But as long as he thinks that I look cute trying, I feel good about it!  And believe me, I DO TRY!

I decided to make this part of a series on Easy Home Makeover Projects.  When it comes to home improvement, I find that a little goes a long way, and when you look at your home and try to divide the work in to a series of small projects here and there, rather than looking at it as one big never ending project, it definitely makes the work easier, and it takes all the pressure off!

Coke Bottles

I’m so excited about the hot summer weather here! One of my favorite summer activities is just sitting on the front porch or the back deck with my hubby.  Whether we’re sitting out in the hot sun or under the stars at night, it is always good to have this time to spend with him just laughing and talking as we share a Coke!

This summer Coca-Cola has brought back their Share a Coke campaign, complete with fun personalized bottles and cans.  Coke has always been my favorite drink, and last year I had my fair share of cans and bottles with fun words like “Superstar” and Soulmate” written on them.  Then this year I’ve gotten bottles that feature emoticons and the words “Love” and “Amor.”  But even better than that, I found a bottle with my husband’s name on it!
