Nutella Hot Chocolate

Nutella Hot Chocolate

I just love hot chocolate in winter!  Usually I go for a little milk and the powdered mix.  (It’s simple. It’s good!) But here lately I’ve been wanting to experiment with a little Nutella.  With just two ingredients (milk and Nutella) you can make a perfectly delicious cup of Nutella Hot Chocolate:

Or for something a little more sweet and fun, we just add a little whipped cream and sugar sprinkles!

But since I wanted to make a nice presentation for you guys, I decided this hot chocolate needed a little something extra.  Enter the chocolate wafers and Valentine Peeps.  The folks at the Peeps company recently sent me an assortment of their Valentine products:

Valentine Peeps

I’ve been trying some of these out and they are delicious!  For the hot chocolate, I made a little skewer of Vanilla Creme Marshmallow Peeps and Strawberry Creme Marshmallow Peep!  They were a great treat to go with the hot chocolate.  Check out the recipe!

1 cup milk

2-3 tablespoons Nutella

Whipped Cream

Pour one cup of milk in to a microwave safe coffee cup. Heat for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in two to three tablespoons of Nutella (3 for a really strong, rich hot chocolate or 2 for a weaker hot chocolate).

Top with whipped cream and candy sprinkles. (Or add marshmallows if your prefer).

Dress it up with some Valentine Peeps, Chocolate Wafers or other decoration. (optional)

Drink and enjoy!
