Valentine’s Day is this weekend! Will you be eating something sweet with your honey? I used to love Valentine’s Day for the heart-shaped boxes of chocolates it would ultimately bring to me, but since I already have a supply of chocolate (including some left over truffles from Christmas), Valentine’s Day now puts me more in the mood for a baked delight. If you’re looking for something sweet to serve your honey this Valentine’s Day, but you don’t want to spend all day long in the kitchen, look no farther! I have the perfect recipe for you: Caramel Apple Dumplins!
This dessert is an old-time classic favorite, and it is so warm and comforting to eat during the fall and winter months. And beyond that, this version is oh-so-easy and made with ingredients that a lot of you likely already have on hand! (That’s my favorite kind of recipe!) Check it out!
Ingredients:
1 Granny Smith apple
1cans crescent rolls
1 sticks butter
3/4 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
cinnamon
3/4 cup - 1 cup Mountain Dew
caramel ice cream topping
whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
Directions:
Peel and core your apple. Then cut in to 8 slices. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll. Place in a 8x8 buttered pan (making 2 rows of 4 rolls each) Melt your stick of butter; then add sugar and vanilla. Stir and pour mixture over apples. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan and down the center between the two rows of crescents. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve warm, topped with caramel ice cream topping, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream if you prefer.

They look really good but I am not a huge fan of cooked apples or any fruit for that matter. But everyone else in my family would really enjoy this.
This recipe looks amazing and the mountain dew ingredient was a surprise! Thanks!
I love the way this delicious dessert is made with Crescent Rolls–and I am delighted that it also calls for Mtn Dew. Fun and comforting, all at once.
What a fantastic recipe, caramel apple dumplings is the perfect way to settle a sweet tooth. Awesome recipe.
These are delicious!! We make something very similar although I have never added the caramel topping! Great addition!
