Strawberry Cheesecake Puppy Chow

Strawberry Cheesecake Puppy Chow

A few weeks ago I shared my Cheesecake Puppy Chow (or muddies, if you prefer that name), and today I’ve got the same recipe with a little something extra added.  This Strawberry Cheesecake Puppy Chow is a festive treat that will go absolutely perfect for your Valentine’s Day party, and it’s great for everyday snacking too! Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients:

9 Cups Kellogg's Crispix Cereal (or Chex if you prefer)

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened.

1 cup white chocolate chips

1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar

1/2 - 3/4 cups strawberry Nesquick mix

Colored sugar, M&M's, or other candies to garnish (optional)

Directions:

1. Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave. Stop every 10 to 15 seconds to prevent scorching and ensure even heating throughout. (You can also use a double boiler on low heat, if you prefer.)

2. Add softened cream cheese and mix until smooth. (You may want to heat the cream cheese to be sure that it goes in nice and smooth.)

3. Add cereal a little at a time and stir until coated.

4. Pour powdered nesquick and sugar into large zipper bag. Add coated cereal and shake until well coated. Store in airtight container.

5. Garnish with M&M's, colored sugar or other festive candies.

Hey! So last night I made this and followed the directions and it tasted great! I put it in a ziploc bag and ate some today and it was mushy- like not crunchy. Any idea what happened or what I did wrong?

    • Same thing happened to me…. It was great last night, but today mushy and chewy. Dissapointed and wondering what I did wrong. : (
